Project Cemadik

Learning Maths just by throwing dice?

Yes,  at  Villa Silvandra  we  can!

All you need is a pencil, a sheet of paper and  3 dice.  And children from 3rd to 8th grade can do it – each on their  respective level.

For the younger ones:

1. Throw the dice and add the points or multiply them. Throwing a 1 has to be done over. Then you add the sum to
the previously given number, or you subtract it.

2. After multiplying the points you can divide the sum f.e. by 10 or 100 and again add the sum or subtract it from the
previously  given number – this is for practicing decimals.

3. Or you multiply the sum by 10 or 100 and do like example 1. and 2. thus practicing to calculate with large
numbers.

This is how we play and learn maths and it’s endless fun. And there’s much more we do with dice!
